FAQ
Each BlauGlass® lamp package also includes a glass funnel, a wick and a wick holder. Using the included funnel, the lamp can be topped up with BlauGlass® oil if necessary. You remove the holder with the wick from the lamp, insert the funnel, add oil, put the crown with the wick back into the hole at the top of the lamp, light it and that's it :). The lamp will thus serve you for a lifetime. As for the wick, it is only a carrier of fuel for the fire. We cut the wick for the first time after 8 years of using the lamp, and only 1/2 centimeter. No more is needed. The lamp is still in use without any problems.
We have been testing our BlauGlass® lamps for more than 10 years, and we cut the wick from the test lamps for the first time in 8 years. In this case, the wick only serves as a path for the oil to reach the fire. That is why we do not offer replacement wicks in our online store. Of course, it is possible to shorten the wick even earlier, at your discretion. Each lamp has its own wick length and we will definitely include it in the offer. I don't know if it's easy to buy. Our wick is made especially for BlauGlass® lamps, from purely natural materials, to fulfill one of our slogans "No smell. No smoke. Just fire."
As I wrote in the previous paragraph, every day for 8 years we lit the lamp and turned it off in the evening. That's all. Nothing else was needed, just to add oil from time to time. However, if you have any problems with the wick, we will help you solve them. BlauGlass® lamps are meant to bring joy and therefore must burn, they cannot be without a wick ;).
During the entire period of use of our BlauGlass® lamps, we do not perform any internal cleaning. The oil is clear, clean and leaves no major marks on the inside of the lamp. After topping up the oil level, all you have to do is turn the lamp carefully, as if it were a beautiful wine in a glass, and the BlauGlass® lamps will reward you with their transparent purity and bright flame.

BlauGlass® oil is produced, as well as wax and paraffin, from petroleum. Oil is a natural product, although you may not agree with me completely, it is true. BlauGlass® oil is a fine fraction, crystal clear, thanks to which it does not smoke or smell when burning. Bio oils, which of course we also tested, unfortunately did not meet the requirements for burning without smoke and odor, which is contrary to our slogan "No smell. No smoke. Just fire."
The wick in BlauGlass® lamps is only a carrier of BlauGlass® oil to the fire. The wick, which is specially made for us from natural materials, does not participate in the burning in any other way. This is ensured by the design of our lamps. When you blow out the lamp, it does not smoke or smell. It doesn't act like a candle. Try it and see for yourself :).
Each BlauGlass® lamp is individually packed in its own box, together with a glass funnel, wick and glass wick holder. This means that if you order, for example, a Mima set, you will receive three Mima lamps 1, 2, and 3, three wicks, three funnels, and three wick holders. If you also order the recommended amount of oil, which in this case is 5 liters, you will only pay for 3 liters of oil. This happens automatically.
The payment gateway system says that you probably did not enter the payment method or did not fill in all the data. It would be good to repeat the operation and also enter the card payment method, or complete the missing information. If you'd prefer to pay directly by bank transfer, you can do that anyway. As soon as the payment arrives on the BlauGlass® account, we will send the goods you ordered immediately to your address.
Lana lamps have a diameter of 8 cm and Mima lamps have a diameter of 10 cm. If you are interested in more information about BlauGlass® lamps, you can find them on our website www.blauglass.com, or simply write your questions to the address hello@blauglass.com
Blau Glass® lamps are made of high-quality borosilicate glass, which is also used to make hobs and cookware. The supplier of material for the production of BlauGlass® lamps is the leading European manufacturer of this type of glass. During the long-term testing of our lamps, we did not notice any deformations.
The reason is simple. In gloves, you will not make fingerprints on the lamps, which would dirty the lamp, and the lamp will not slip out during handling, thus reducing the risk of damaging the lamp.
First of all, it is necessary to be responsible when handling lamps. As with a lit candle, a burning fireplace, or driving a car or skiing. In the enclosed booklet, which is in each package, there are important safety warnings that must be studied and followed.
BlauGlass® lamps are made of special boron silicate glass, up to 3 mm thick. Cooking plates and cooking containers are also made from this glass. This glass has its strength and durability. Of course, during the years of testing, we managed to knock the lamp over, even drop it from a low shelf. It never broke and nothing happened. Of course, if you dropped it from a height onto a rock, it would probably get damaged. Due to the low flammability of the oil, the spilled oil never caught fire when it overturned. Of course, there is no need to try. We recommend using the rubber gloves included in the package when handling BlauGlass® lamps so that the lamp does not slip out of your hands. With just a little responsibility, which you have even with lit candles or a fireplace, BlauGlass® lamps will serve you and bring you joy for a lifetime.
There is no problem with cleaning the lamps. First of all, rubber gloves should be used so that the lamp does not get dirty with fingerprints and also so that it does not slip out of the hands during cleaning. Rubber gloves are included in the packaging of each lamp. After that, it is enough to carefully polish the surface with a soft cloth. There is no need to clean the lamp from the inside, the BlauGlass® oil is clear and does not leave any marks on the inner surface of the lamp. At most, you just need to swirl the oil like wine in a glass and that's it.
BlauGlass® oil does not contain alcohol. You don't have to worry about it evaporating :).
The difference between Lana and Mima lamps is in the diameter, height and thickness of the glass of the lamps.
Lana lamps are softer, have a diameter of 8 cm, heights of 10, 15 and 20 cm ( Lana 3, 2 and 1 ) and a glass thickness of 2.5 mm.
Mima lamps are more massive and taller, they have a diameter of 10 cm, heights of 15, 22.5 and 30 cm (Mima 3, 2 and 1) and glass thickness of 3 mm. However, they have one thing in common. BlauGlass® lamps are the only thing that will last forever :)).
The nature of our products and the distribution of BlauGlass® lamps and oil throughout Europe does not allow us to implement a cash on delivery system. Payment is only possible by card or bank transfer. When paying by card, at the moment of payment, the selected goods are immediately packed and handed over to the carrier. The second option is payment on account, where we start packing the goods at the moment of crediting the stated amount to the account. In this system, through our partners, we have agreements with all major European carriers, as well as with many local ones.
